First of all: Thank you for this nice software. But there is one thing I wish to be “integreted”: a port to iPhone with the possibility to export from mac to iphone and the other way round!
This is definatley in my top 5 most useful apps, thanks!!
One thing that seems to have been dropped though is the ability to sort the subgroups in a group, i use groups a lot so this would be real handy. Is this somewhere else now or has it been removed?
Super useful application.
We have recently switched our work environment from Windows to Linux and this is the perfect application to store passwords and read them from every OS and place.
Thanks for every developer participating to this project!
Thank you very very much. Great app. I’, using it on Linux, MacOSX and windows mobile, super! Keep up this app.! Wish people would make more apps like this.

Thank you for your hard work! I’m using Keepassx on Ubuntu, Windows and Windows mobile. It’s great to be able to share databases across so many platforms.
Keepassx is the next best thing to sliced bread in the digital age. Where everything in today’s world seems to require a password, keeping track of the passwords in a secure manner is an imperative. I’ve used keepassx on both Linux and windows for the past year or so and truly, it rates as one of the top 10 killer apps of all time.
Best of all, it’s open-source. Where all great software comes from.
I just tried KeePassX. I’m not that impressed with it. I’ve used Password Agent from Moon Software for a number of years and I think it is a better program. You click one button and Password Agent will automatically enter your username and password. KeePassX requires a copy to and from the clipboard. However, KeePassX is cross platform, whereas Password Agent is Windows only, unless it runs in Linux under Wine or CrossOver Office.
Thank you, I had used keepass under windows but having moved over to Linux a while ago this was one of the few application I was running with Wine, no longer needed now thanks to you, works like a charm, keep up the good work 🙂
After two days of searching and trying about 10 programs that say they work on both mac OSx and windows your is the only one that truly worked. Two others worked Universal Password Manager and Password Dragon but they made me copy my database file to the desktop or else I could not access it from the flash drive. Great coding. IT JUST WORKS.
Did you guys pull this app right from the heavens??
A huge applause for your team for such a masterpiece. All the money hungry companies must learn from these kind of efforts, especially M$ who have a nasty habbit of not playing well with competitors.
It was a pain for me to maintain a worksheet for passwords, but not anymore. GOD bless you guys.
Thanks for this fantastic tool! Its truely spoken when I say that KeePassX is one of the top 20 software products for me. I can’t imagine how I ever managed my passwords without it. Its one of these tools that really changes your workflow in such a good way.
Keep up the great work and the linux support!
Thanks for the great program. I use keepass on winxp and have been slowly converting to linux. I had to export my xp keepass data as a *.kdb file for it to work with keepassx.
With this program I have been able to create complex passwords and store information safely. I recomend this program to everyone that cares about good security. My only wish is that keepassx will be compatible with the .kdbx files.
Thanks again.
Hello folks: Thanks for your superb app, and for all the time and effort you put on it to develop it. About other things, I noticed on the Keepass.info website that they have recently incorporated support for the YubiKey, so, I was wondering if you have any plans to do the same for the KeepassX. And, one more thing; I have try to suggest several times KeepassX at the following web address without success, it looks to me that the suckers of 1Password and MacUpdate have some sort of association, because, no matter how many times I suggest KeepassX, they never display my suggestion – Maybe you should contact MacUpdate to find out why they won’t include Keepass as other people’s suggestion:
KeepassX is far much better than 1Password, because Keepass(X) is Free, Open Source, it can handle USBs, and Key-files to maximize security (in addition to a Master Password) and who cares if it does not have auto-fill, because, it takes actually the same number of clicks, less one, to log into websites comparing it to 1Password – which, by the way, is not Open Source and your shouldn’t trust the security of your data to proprietary coders – because they have the back door to get to your data anytime they want to do so. Keepass is just plain Better! and it certainly Keepsurass secure :-))
THANK YOU!!! I couldn’t believe my eyes when I typed “keepass linux” in google and this site came out!!! 😀 Everything works flawlessly, great job!

Many thanks for KeePassX. Saved me a lot of hard work when switching from Windows+KeePass to Mac.
I really like KeePassX on my Mac. Is there a tool for iphone which can import the Data files?
This is definatley in my top 5 most useful apps, thanks!!

I wrote an article recommending the KeePassX, that’s how much I love KeePassX. Keep up the good work!

+1
To yubikey support in the upcoming version of KeepassX
Great program! Keep up the good job.
Only one big wish: .kdbx support 😉
Great program, switched over from WinXP about a year ago, finally got the rest of the house in Macs and we love KeepassX.
Best tool ever. Can’t live without 🙂
