Beware, this is an alpha release and not intended to be used in a production environment.
I use KeePassx on Mac OS X and i am glad that found native solution.
Hi,
thank you very much for the release!
I’ve been using it for a week now (your pre-compiled binary on Mac OS X (on 10.6.8) and compiled from the Github git repository source on Debian Linux Testing/Wheezy).
It works very smooth/fast and I haven’t found a bug until now.
Looking forward to the next release with new features like the one psyndrome mentioned, automatically closing a file after a certain time[1] or minimizing to the notification area (aka systray, menubar, …).
Keep up the good work!

Thank you very much for developing native app on linux that support KeePass 2.
Although it’s only alpha, still a lot better than KeePass2 on Mono (slow, unresponsive, buggy, etc).
Thank you for your work on this great product, lets hope an android version comes along soon as well!
Please find 20 Euros on your donation plate

I’m one of those big KeePass users under Windows who would be happier with a “real” Linux version of it (KeePass does work with Mono, but yuck…). Thanks for working on it ๐
A great start. The only key feature (for me) that is missing from the Windows keepass is the ability to click on the masked password and have the password be put into the clipboard for 12 seconds. Being able to copy/paste passwords that way even with people looking over your shoulder is (again for me) a key feature.
I’m using KeepassX on Mac and Windows but i have the problem that i only can open the databasefile on mac (where it was created, too). Is it right that 2.0 Alpha 4.zip contains a KeepassX 1.9… Version?
Hi,
Just to let you know a bug i’ve encountered. Can’t seemed to use Command + D on my mac to delete. I am currently using a switched modifier key settings where I use Ctrl instead of Command and vice versa, and the entry deletion (which says Command +D) does not respond to both Command + D and Ctrl + D. Good job developing a native solution!
I don’t have commit access to the git repository (of course) but here’s a small patch I did so you can copy the URL of a KeePass entry. It bugged me.

Greeting,
Jeroen.
I am using OS X 10.6.8 on a 1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo MacBook and the application says it is not supported on this type of mac.
Do you have an older version that would be supported? Thanks
It’s great, thank you very much for your work.
The only thing that would be better for me, it’s to view directly the png attachments.
Thank you!
Hello,
thanks for the program, but like the alpha 3 the last database wouldn’t remember at startup of the program. Would be great if this option served its purpose.
Thanks
Many thanks for the update. The password generator helps me a lot. I use this program on OS X and bypass the not remembering the last used db issue by opening my key database directly via Spotlight. This works perfectly for me!
Thanks, it works great! ๐
Thanks for this program! I was soooo tired of the crappy Mono-based version and came across this. So far, so good!
Looking fantastic, it does what version 1 does and more. Enjoy my flattr subscription ๐ Keep up the good work.
I just switched from Windows to Mac and found this awesome Mac version of Keepass which I used a number of years on Windows. It works! Thank you so much!
Hi there,
Thanks for the great app! Just wanted to ask you whether you plan to add retina display support?
Brilliant! I took the deb from http://ppa.launchpad.net/keepassx/daily/ubuntu/pool/main/k/keepassx/
Lucid works even on oldstable Squeeze …
Greetings,
today I switched from KeePassX 0.4.3 to 2.0a4. It’s working nice and I like new UI concept – all in one window – it’s great for tiling managers like XMonad.
I can’t wait for webdav synchronization, with owncloud it can be the best private solution for securely keeping passwords over all platforms.
Keep up the good work and best wishes from your longterm satisfied user.
Hi,
thanks for the new alpha which seems to be rather stable. Just donated 10โฌ. An other 10โฌ will follow, as soon as the two features already mentioned by others (auto-close after a certain time, open the last used database-file) are implemented.
Thanks again – Ingo
Great work! The alpha already looks and works very nice! ๐
I’m using it to read (for now) my Password-DBs created with KeePass 2.0 (Windows) under OS X and Linux (Ubuntu).
Just compiled under Ubuntu, works nice, just libgcrypt-dev was also needed for build (I suggest adding it to build requirements).
Awesome! Just compiled on Xubuntu 13.04 – great success!
Had to install `libxtst-dev` for auto-type to work. Please add to requirements!
Great work guys! Thanks so much.
Very cool cross platform solution. Thanks a lot.
